We were sad to hear that another good friend has been beaten by cancer. Mark Sislo was one of the kindest men you could ever hope to meet. He and his wife Sarah have been flying with us since May of 2014 when he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Hailing from Eagle River, WI, the Sislo’s were some of our favorite neighbors to the west… the other side of Lake Michigan, and we are so glad they found us. It was an honor to be a part of Mark’s treatment plan and it is our hope that for those who loved him, the struggles of the past few years will be overshadowed by good memories of a life well-lived.
As a believer, Mark knew that he had the promise of eternal life; which is both a quantity of life in the hereafter and a quality of life in the present. When we bear each other’s burdens we participate in a quality of life that is unequaled in anything we could possibly do for ourselves. So thank you, Sislo family, for inviting Wings to be a part of Mark’s battle. May God give you comfort in the tough weeks ahead. And thank you to the rest of the Wings of Mercy family for investing in an eternal kind of life. It’s the only thing that matters.
